In this article, I want to talk about the fundamental mechanics of “Pachi-Slot” (Japanese slot machines), including a basic glossary and how the game flows.
Going forward, I will be introducing many different Pachi-Slot machines on this blog. Since explaining the basic rules every single time would be exhausting, I’m wrapping it all up right here! For beginners, you are going to encounter a lot of specialized jargon that you’ve never heard before. But don’t worry! Once explained, the concepts are actually super simple. Just keep them in the back of your mind as a loose guide.

The winning mechanics that payout these medals are broadly divided into two main categories:
“Bonus” and “AT / ART”.

- “Bonus”
A Bonus awards you a predetermined number of medals or a fixed number of spins.
While there are “big” and “small” bonuses, the total payout is capped to a certain extent—meaning a single Bonus won’t trigger a massive, endless win streak.
