Today, I’m talking about a brand-new machine! The long-awaited pachinko title e Zom 100: Bucket List of the Dead has officially made its debut in Japanese parlors right around the time I’m writing this article.
Since it just launched, I haven’t had the chance to play it myself yet. However, looking over its unique specs, it has some really intriguing mechanics that caught my eye. Here is a quick overview and my personal take on it!
■ 1. Machine Specs and Gameplay Mechanics
For those who regularly read my blog, I thought I’d break down the specs using actual numbers this time!

- Initial RUSH Entry Rate: 25%
- Special Chance Zones (Non-RUSH Hits):
- If you miss the initial 25% RUSH entry (75% of hits), you enter a 30-spin mode called “Happiness Time.” Hitting a jackpot here bumps your RUSH entry chance up to 50%!
- If you hit that 50% and still miss the RUSH, you move into the next 30-spin mode, “Fortune Chance.” Landing a jackpot here guarantees a 50% chance at RUSH and a 50% chance to jump straight into Lucky Trigger (LT)!
- RUSH (Zondemic Party) Performance: Continuation rate sits around 50%. However, 70% of all jackpots during RUSH will upgrade you directly into the Lucky Trigger!
- Lucky Trigger (Hundred Dream) Performance: Continuation rate is around 75%. While 75% might sound modest for a top-tier LT mode, the payout distribution is massive: 44.5% yields 1,500 tokens, 27.2% gives 3,000 tokens, and the remaining 28.3% awards a staggering 6,000 tokens!
Most importantly, the machine features an oversized start pocket (“Deka-Heso”), making it much easier to keep the reels spinning. Even if the entry odds look tight at first glance, the sheer volume of spins gives you plenty of opportunities.
■ 2. Player Reception and Personal Take
Looking at initial feedback from players online, the response has been somewhat mixed and leaning slightly critical…
In recent trends, machines requiring a 25% barrier to enter RUSH have become quite common, leading to direct comparisons. Even with the oversized start pocket, many competitor 25%-entry machines sit around a 1/159 probability, making Zom 100‘s 1/199 base rate feel a bit heavy to players.
Furthermore, while some other machines send you straight into Lucky Trigger upon突破, Zom 100 routes you through a standard 50%-continuation RUSH first, which seems to be another point of frustration for players.
[My Personal Opinion]
Personally, I think the oversized start pocket makes it very accessible and fun to spin. The system where missing RUSH gives you a stepped 30-spin chance zone keeps the anticipation alive, which I find to be a fun design choice!
That said, you do consume tokens during those 30 spins, and landing a 1/199 jackpot within just 30 spins is certainly a steep hill to climb.
While the critical feedback is completely understandable, the high probability of hitting 6,000 tokens once you reach the Lucky Trigger is a huge draw. It strikes me as a high-volatility machine aimed at big-payout chasers who want maximum spin action.
Given how popular the anime adaptation and its opening theme song are, I’d love to test my luck on it in the parlor if the timing is right!
